Fireworks in Antibes
Updated: Jul 4, 2020

Every year in August, the best pyrotechnists of France and the world come to Antibes. They amaze us with the Musical Fireworks Festival, an absolute pleasure to the eyes and ears. The show is performed four times in August at 10pm in Juan-les-Pins Bay and La Brague Beach (close to Fort Carré). Other fireworks light up Antibes’ sky throughout the year: on Bastille Day of course, but also on Saint Pierre’s Day (end of June) and New Year’s day. It is well known that the Chinese invented fireworks in the Middle Ages (following the discovery of gunpowder, one of the Four Great Inventions of Ancient China). Much later, in 1830, coloured fireworks appeared in Europe, to our great delight.

The Musical Fireworks Festival will take place at 10pm on 16th and 24th August 2018, in Juan-les-Pins Bay and La Brague Beach respectively.
